Burlington's Youthfest
took place on May 6th 2006

Congratulations to Burlington Aldershot and central Lions and nelson Lions...
See three lions heads are better then one Great Team work everyone!

This year’s Youthfest was a success in that we received some great exposure for the Lions Clubs, the upcoming Dragon Boat Race, and the May 28th Dog Guide Walk… We were able to arrange for The Burlington Post to take a few pictures of the Dragon Boat with Mike Wallace, Rick Craven, and Cam Jackson involved…

There appeared to be less volunteer booths this year, and fewer high school students in attendance, however we did manage to get 10 students to sign up for the volunteer opportunities, and several for the Dragon Boat Races

 Lion Reg updated the club on progress with regards to the cleaning up of Bayview Park. Reg has meet with Lion Rick and learned that there are some people who have shown interest in purchasing the metal railing. Some local Frisbee and model car clubs have also indicated that they are looking for some park space where they can carry out their activities. The hope is that by working closely with The City and other interested parties, we can clean the park up and get it back into active use again.

Not Sure where Bayview park is The Top of King Rd you can say "It is the park that has gone to the Dogs"
Our Pride is always on the prowl.

Whether it is baseball with the kids, the upcoming silent auction, or our 50th Birthday bash, which we hope you will all attend.

Our club does not even take a time out in the summer.

Then we are off to sell tickets for shopping sprees or doll houses or our up and coming Dragon boat race.

After that, it is cookie and cake sales.

Then it is   BB-Q, BB-Q, BB-Q season. Wow!!

WE are a Hot Hot Hot Club. Come join us in our next adventure.

We will enjoy having you with us
